Early start to visit the Damnoen Saduak floating markets situated 110kms west of Bangkok.

After a long coach ride we jump on board a long-tail boat and head for the markets, on the way we get to see how some people live along the rivers.

The floating markets are a crazy/busy place with so much going on, locals selling everything from hot food to furniture. As well as the floating stalls the market spreads overland as well. We really enjoyed mooching around and picking up some souvenirs.

After our visit we jumped back on the bus for the ride back to Bangkok, on the way we stopped at a couple of places.

The first place was an elephant riding place. Some people from our coach had a ride but we decided to just feed some bananas to the elephants and grab a drink.

The next stop was a poisonous snake wrestling show where we got to see some crazy people trying not to get bitten while tormenting a cobra! Very odd.

In the evening we met up with a friend and went partying Bangkok style. After some dinner we found a great bar on the Khao San road with live music and a great atmosphere.
