Borobudur Temple dates from the 9th century and laid hidden under layers of volcanic ash until it was re-discovered in 1815.

We woke really early and arrived at a hill to view sunrise over the valley that Borobudur Temple sits in, sadly due to having to stop for petrol we missed the actual sun rising! still the view was pretty good when we got there.

We then headed into the temple complex for a guided tour. It was a really nice place to walk around and explore, so many interesting things to see and hundreds of school kids who want to ask you questions for a school project.

And I found a great spot for a new jumping photo, all in all a good day indeed.
