Charleston is a pretty town with its cobblestone streets, horse drawn carriages and pre-civil war houses and mansions.

Many of the wealthy plantation owners in the south had houses in the city and many slaves were traded at markets in the town.

The very first shots of the civil war were fired from Fort Sumter and you could tell the place had a lot of history.

The mansions and streets are immaculate and downtown has a very grand feel about it.
