El Calafate is one of Argentina’s main tourist hubs in Patagonia. It is a small town with a nice vibe. Lots of restaurants, outdoors/hiking equipment shops, tour companies, chocolate shops and a brand new casino.

It was our first point of call in Patagonia and we really like the place. Our hotel had bikes for use by guests so we took them out for a spin to soak up the amazing scenery surrounding the lake and town.
