On the third day of our 4×4 journey across the Bolivian Salt Flats and Deserts to Chile we woke up at 4am so we could see the sunrise at the Geysers.
It was -17°c so cold, cold, cold.
Here there is intense volcanic activity with sulphur springs, geysers & lakes of boiling mud.
There was an opportunity to take a dip in a hot spring, but the air temp was still about -12°c and it was a long cold run in your bathing suit to the water… lol
Bolivia has blown us away, it has some of the most beautiful landscapes and vistas we have ever seen contrasted against some of the poorest standards/toughest ways of living.
Next stop Chile.
