Between Tordi Sagar and Agra we stopped off at a couple of places to break the journey up. After stopping at a glamping site for a very nice spot of lunch we continued on to see the amazing stepwell, Chand Baori.

The Chand Baori stepwell was built in 800/900 AD and was designed to hold on to as much water as possible in the dry and arid nature of Rajasthan. Before visiting the stepwell I did not know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised when we got there. It is an amazing structure and the symmetry and patterns of shadow and light cast by the steps make it interesting to look at from all angles.

Looking out the window on the bus ride we passed many chimneys belonging to different brick yards.
