Sucre is the constitutional capital and 5th most populated city in Bolivia.

This historic city is a world heritage site in recognition of its rich history and its wealth of colonial architecture.

Sucre is a peaceful city where everybody walks everywhere throughout the squares, parks and colonial streets, you are able to see beautiful and well-preserved colonial buildings, all painted in white, with the traditional balconies and architecture.

The atmosphere is much more relaxed than La Paz and generally a much nicer and prettier city. It was nice we were here for a few days, our hotel was excellent and we really got to explore and suck it all in.

If you visit Sucre we recommend making your way up to ‘La Recoleta’ where you get a great view over the city. We found a really nice cafe that made a great cup of hot chocolate, put our feet up and watched the sunset.
