Drive up to Christchurch via a quick stop to take pictures of the Moeraki Boulders

Once in Christchurch we take a bus into town to get a look at the damage done by the February’s earthquake.

We can’t believe how much damage had been done and how much of the city was affected and now lies abandoned waiting for demolition crews to move in

Early flight to Melbourne

After checking in we hit the streets and rode the free tram round the city, later we walked the lanes and arcades full of cafes and trendy shops

Picked up a hire car and drove down the great ocean road to Port Campbell stopping along the way for walks on the beach and in the tree tops

Took some awesome pictures of the twelve apostles and other interesting costal features

Accommodation in Port Campbell a little disappointing especially with the power cut

Headed back to Melbourne from Port Campbell

Went out for dinner with Mel, a girl we met in New Zealand, then on the way back to the hotel went into the

Crown casino complex for a drink

Day spent walking the streets of Melbourne, checking out parks and markets

Evening out at The Paris Cat jazz club

It rained heavily all day in Melbourne which kind of limited our activities

Jumped on a tram to St Kilder beachfront and lunar park, which was mostly closed due to the rain… doh!

Flight to Perth, pick up the hire car and check in at the hotel, we then drive off to East Fremantle to take in the local street fete before taking a quick drive to the beach to see whats occurring
