Making our way up through Chile to Santiago
Day spent sea kayaking within the Cochamo valley, really good day out although a little hard work and uncomfortable.
Traveled by bus to Pucon, arrived in the evening with enough time to have a quick walk through town and grab a bite to eat. Almost had nowhere to sleep as the hotel had no knowledge of our booking…. soon got it sorted though.
Visit to Geometricas hot springs for a bit of R n R in the volcano heated hot pools
Climbed Villarrica volcano, and survived. We made it all the way to the 2800 meter summit. Really hard climb on snow and ice in crampons but a freat achievement. Best bit was getting to sledge back down.
Day spent relaxing in Pucon, exploring the shops and markets before jumping on the overnight bus to Santiago. This was our first tripon a bus with lie-flat seats. Much better than other bus journeys although still did not get a great sleep.
After getting of the night bus at 6am we made our way to our nice apartment for the week. Really nice place, went to the supermarket and spent the day relaxing at home.
Day at the Costanera Center Shopping Mall, replacing a few items and mooching around, we even caught a movie
